What do I do about menopause? It's personal!
Menopause is personal - how do you find the right path?
Menopause is big business now. And menopause marketing can easily fill our social feeds! Making it confusing and overwhelming.
There’s no denying it. There are special supplements, exercise programmes, diets, clothing, gadgets, apps, and a proliferation of menopause clinics and coaches. You should take collagen, eat more protein, give up gluten, fast 16 hours a day, lift weights, walk with a weighted vest.
Or should you?
All this is filling a gap. An underserved and under supported population. It’s meeting a need for help and guidance.
But sometimes it is missing the point.
It’s missing YOU. Your personal experience.
My clients have often done the rounds of supplements, menopause clinics, and nutritional advice.
And yet there’s a missing piece.
Ther'e’s a simple question that we can ask ourselves.
Is this the right thing ‘for me’?
Right for unique selves, our life experiences, our values and priorities.
This is what I was trained to work with.
And a question I still ask myself. And test.
I am trained to start with you at the centre and stand alongside you creating a personal plan of action to support your wellbeing, boost your energy, build physical and mental resilience.
After working with me my clients have made huge changes in their lives - they’ve gained the energy they needed to relocate, or the confidence to launch their own business and leave corporate life, or they’ve got the sleep they needed to re-prioritise family life and change their working hours while still achieving career goals.
Or perhaps they’ve learned to slow down, so that their relationships feel more grounded, and they are able to plan and enjoy holidays
No longer weighed down and held back by anxiety and overwhelm. Not buffering with sugar, alcohol, or doom scrolling.
Each one has co-created an approach that works for them. Implemented, tweaked, and created a toolkit of personal strategies.
Llife happens. Menopause shifts our experience. And we can learn from it.
I came back from burnout in my late 30s, took radical action and changed my career. But then found myself skating very close to it again in my mid 40s thanks to lockdown, caring for a parent with Alzheimer's, home schooling kiddos, plus the continuing impact of perimenopause.
Life. Happens.
Resilience helps.
The second time around I didn’t need to quit everything and take months off work.
I had my own personalsupport networks, strategies, and great habits to buffer the stress. I have also got a decade of learning behind me too, which gives me an advantage.
One I can share with you.
I can help you navigate menopause, create your own personal plan and strategy. Navigating with the seasons of your current cycle, the seasons of the year, and the seasons and challenges of your life.
